Town Administrator

The Town Administrator is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Town and is responsible for the proper administration of all the departments of Town government.  The Town Administrator carries out policy decisions of the Board of Selectmen and oversees all property owned by the Town.  The Administrator keeps the Board of Selectmen informed of the current operation of the Town and provides input on future needs.

The Town Administrator is the primary contact for residents and businesses for all Town business.  The Town Administrator acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Selectmen and contributes to the development of policies and procedures, the annual budget, the formulation of the Capital Improvement Plan, and other short- and long-term plans.

As Chief Executive for the Town, the Town Administrator supervises all appointed department heads and employees and administers the personnel, financial, and purchasing policies of the Town.  In addition, the Town Administrator provides administrative oversight and project management of major projects including infrastructure improvements.  The Town Administrator plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, and coordinates the work of professional and technical consultants.
